Roombook
The Roombook is at the top of a building design and is composed by the planner/architect/builder during the project development. It represents a first detailed overview of the construction work and is used later as the basis for building design.
Features
A Roombook can be a useful tool for both new buildings and renovation of old buildings. With the help of the Roombook, the scope of building equipment can be described without any claim to completeness and/or seclusion. It serves the client as a tool to compose their needs and desires and to detail. It serves the architect as a first orientation for the building design, without already including a spatial design itself.
Components
The Roombook is usually a list of rooms to be prepared in tabular form. Each room can be associated with usage-based attributes. Nature and extent of the Roombook depend on the future use of the building. Here, the Roombook is not tied to any external form , the representation depends on the content.
Roombook
Apart the Roombook target from just listing the desired rooms, the Roombook can be detailed and refined as the project progresses. A Roombook records the planning results for the procurement of works and results of construction for future building operation . The typical roombook data includes all room characteristics such as surface area, volumes, floor & wall coverings, elements of building services such as electrical installations, home automation, home entertainment, fittings and furniture.
